7.3.2. Can QbD increase profitability and/or sustain profit growth?

The huge majority of responses in Table 11 stated to be still waiting to see their expectations fulfilled. This is not limited to the answers that had just started implementing QbD in 2011, but spreads among all groups of implementers almost equally. Therefore, analysing the reasons for their disappointment so far should reflect the main obstacles the industry is still facing when approaching to transform this change of paradigms into successful means to improve the quality of their products, the efficiency in development and production and finally to increase profit growth and profitability for their business.
